经力学专家评审、数理科学部工作会议及基金委员会委务会审议,2014 年度力学科学处面上项目、青年科学基金和地区科学基金资助项目已确定. 现将有关信息公布如下:
(1) 国家自然科学基金委员会根据基础研究发展趋势和 “十二五” 发展规划的总体部署,目前已确立了研究类、人才类和环境条件类 3 个项目资助系列.这 3 个资助项目系列的定位各有侧重,相辅相成,构成了国家自然科学基金资助格局. 面上项目属于研究项目系列,以获得科研创新成果为主要目的,并通过创新性科学研究培养科技人才,促进学科均衡、协调和可持续发展,提高基础研究水平. 青年科学基金和地区科学基金划归人才项目系列,青年科学基金将采取加大资助规模并适当提高资助强度的措施,着力提高资助率,发挥其培养青年人才的作用;地区科学基金将大幅度提高资助强度,适度提高资助率,培养和扶植基础研究薄弱地区的科学技术人员,稳定和凝聚优秀人才,为区域创新体系建设与经济、社会发展服务.

第六届全国强动载效应及防护学术会议暨2014复杂介质/结构的
动态力学行为创新研究群体学术研讨会召开

2014年7月13-15日,由中国力学学会爆炸力学专业委员会、北京理工大学安全与防护协同创新中心、爆炸科学与技术国家重点实验室主办的第六届全国强动载效应及防护学术会议暨2014复杂介质/结构的动态力学行为创新研究群体学术研讨会在北京市延庆县召开。开幕式上,北京理工大学安全与防护中心主任黄风雷教授代表主办单位致欢迎辞,爆炸科学与技术国家重点实验室主任张庆明教授主持了大会开幕式。
参加此次会议的代表共150人,分别来自中国工程物理研究院、中国兵器工业集团第204研究所、二炮装备研究院、中科院力学所、西澳大利亚大学、北京大学、清华大学、中国科技大学、中山大学、南京理工大学、西北有色金属研究院、宁波大学、北京科技大学、北京理工大学等单位。本次会议得到了相关领域专家学者的大力支持,共收到学术论文71篇。
本次会议涉及了强动载的产生与传递、材料多尺度动态力学行为及其与微结构的关联、含能材料的设计与计算、爆炸安全理论与技术等方面的研究内容。大会特邀请报告有:胡海波研究员的“爆轰加载材料和结构动力学行为精密物理机制辨识和建模”、杨越研究员的“壁湍流中的拉格朗日结构演化与多尺度分析”、董刚研究员的“RM不稳定的数值模拟研究”、戴兰宏研究员的“非晶合金的孔洞化”、肖川研究员的“关于常规毁伤的几个问题探讨”、马国伟教授的“Confidence based Quantitative Analysis Method for Offshore Accidental Hydrocarbon Release Risks”、施惠基教授的“冲击压缩下含点缺陷单晶铜的微结构损伤演化”、陈常青教授的“金属纤维网络材料力学特性研究”、孙金华教授的“可燃预混气火焰传播若干动力学行为及其预测”、苏煜教授的“磁/电智能材料及结构的动态力学问题研究”和马天宝副教授的“非线性双曲守恒系统的伪弧长方法研究”。会议还安排了30余个分组学术报告,这些报告集中反映了我国强动载效应及防护领域的最新研究进展与成果。会议现场讨论气氛热烈,与会代表一致认为通过本次学术研讨会开阔了视野,启发了思路,达到了“交流、开放、互动、启示”的目的。本次学术研讨会达到了预期效果并取得了圆满的成功。

中国力学大会是我国力学界每两年一次的综合性学术盛会,是广大力学科技工作者学术交流的重要平台。“中国力学大会-2015”将于2015年8月中旬在上海举行。会议由中国力学学会、上海交通大学联合主办并承办。
为丰富会议内容,鼓励力学学科专家发挥在本专业领域的学术带头作用,本次大会将延续往届办会模式,由相关专家、学者申请并组织所属学科领域的专题研讨会。现将本次大会征集专题研讨会的有关事项作如下说明:

大会采取主会场、分会场和专题研讨会相结合的形式。
主会场:由大会学术委员会约请海内外著名力学专家作力学学科前沿、综述、展望等方面的大会邀请报告;
分会场:由专业委员会/工作委员会/工作组等分支机构约请本学科领域的专题邀请报告,并经大会学术委员会审定;
专题研讨会:由力学专家自由申请或由专业委员会/工作委员会/工作组等分支机构组织专家申请,并经大会学术委员会审批。
2. 时间安排
主会场1天(含开幕式和大会邀请报告),分会场1天,专题研讨会1天,具体安排见后续通知。
3. 征稿、投稿方式
分会场报告由专业委员会/工作委员会/工作组等分支机构组织约请。
专题研讨会报告由专题研讨会负责人组织征稿或作者自由投稿。
二、征集专题研讨会事项说明
1. 专题研讨会申请要求
专题研讨会议题不限,可涵盖与力学学科有关的理论研究、工程应用、学科前沿等内容。每个专题研讨会应组织12篇以上报告,报告人应来自4个以上单位。
2. 奖励机制
为感谢专题研讨会负责人对大会所做的组织工作,大会将免去每个专题研讨会一位负责人的会议注册费。
3. 申请截止日期
请于2014年11月30日前将附件中的专题研讨会申请表返回至中国力学学会办公室。

Wing Kam Liu(廖荣锦)教授是美国西北大学机械工程系Walter P Murphy讲席教授,国际计算力学协会主席,美国理论与应用力学国家委员会(USNCTAM)主席,美国国家科学基金委纳米力学与材料暑期研究所创所所长,ASME(美国机械工程师协会)纳米工程委员会创会主席。
Liu教授是国际上基于多尺度模拟的工程与科学方面的学术领袖,他完成的基础创新性工作对于纳米材料的分析设计、工程材料系统、生物过程、生物和非生物材料在药物传送的应用等方面发挥了重要作用。其研究工作的巨大影响力从同行的广泛引用中可见一斑(SCI引用13860次,H因子为60;Google Scholar引用为36500次,H因子为86)。他于2014年被Thompson Reuters评为“高被引用研究人员”,而早在2001年,他就成为“工程领域最高影响、最多引用的作者之一,高引用作者数据库的首批成员”。
Liu教授先后担任了许多重要学术职务,获得了国际计算力学协会最高奖Gauss-Newton奖、ASME及USACM及日本机械工程师协会等的许多奖项,并被聘为大连理工大学荣誉教授等,是多个国际学术期刊的编委,还在二十多个政府和国际机构中任职。他是ASME, ASCE, USACM, AAM, IACM的会士。

Assistant Professor, Louisiana State University and
Agricultural and Mechanical College
The Assistant Professor is responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in Coastal Geotechnical Engineering; examine and grade student performance; maintain professional standards and level of competence and excellence in teaching and advising at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; guide graduate students towards their M.S. and Ph.D. degrees; develop externally funded research program and collaborate relationships with other research groups in the College or Engineering and other colleges, state, and federal agencies; publish their work in top journals in their area of expertise; conducting research on topics which include but are not limited to traditional soil mechanics and foundation engineering.
Today, more than 25,000 students are enrolled in Louisiana State University. The LSU campus, called "a botanical joy" in its listing among the 20 best campuses of America, is located in the city of Baton Rouge, and is bordered on the west by the Mississippi River. Baton Rouge, the capital of Louisiana, is a leading petrochemical, financial, and industrial city with a metropolitan-area population of more than 800,000.
Required Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in Civil Engineering with a specialty in Geotechnical and/or Coastal Engineering or closely related field (ABD candidates will be considered so long as degree is obtained prior to date of appointment); experience in traditional soil mechanics and foundation engineering; demonstrates strong interests in research and scholarship; must have qualifications for professional registration and is expected to become a registered professional engineer within the duration of their appointment. Preferred Qualifications: Expertise in the areas of scour liquefaction, and stability of coastal and marine infrastructure (e.g. levees, wind turbine foundations, pipelines), with an emphasis on coupled fluid-structure-soil modeling and monitoring in the coastal environment, wave interaction with permeable structures such as rubble-mound breakwaters, revetments and dikes, as well as the coastal infrastructure renewal and rehabilitation.
Salary and rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience. An offer of employment is contingent on a satisfactory pre-employment background check. The Department of Mechanical Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions. The School of Marine Science and Policy (SMSP) at the University of Delaware (UD) is hiring four tenure track faculty members in ocean science and policy. SMSP offers graduate programs in Marine Biosciences, Marine Policy, Oceanography, and Physical Ocean Science & Engineering and an undergraduate major in Marine Science. SMSP is situated on the main campus in Newark and a coastal campus in Lewes, which together offer ready access to a variety of coastal and estuarine environments and the Mid-Atlantic Bight.
We seek dynamic individuals who will establish internationally recognized, extramurally funded, interdisciplinary research programs while contributing to the teaching and service missions of SMSP. While applications are welcome from all relevant disciplines within the School, there will be a special interest in the coastal/estuarine system including but not limited to the following areas: a) physical oceanography integrating dynamics from other core oceanographic disciplines; b) ecosystem science, such as coastal and wetlands ecology or environmental chemistry; c) ecological modeling, addressing issues of responses to changing climate, sustainability, ecosystem services, or resource management; and d) economic or quantitative policy analysis.
These hires are expected to be at the rank of Assistant Professor, but exceptional applicants at other ranks will also be considered. Target start date is fall 2015, but candidates may be considered for as early as spring 2015.

许多有成就的人都有受人提携、培养的故事。当年华罗庚还是金坛中学庶务员的时候以一篇《苏家驹之代数的五次方程式解法不能成立之理由》引起国内数学界的注意。清华大学数学系主任熊庆来把这个只有初中毕业文凭的小伙子调入清华,使他得以开始职业数学研究生涯。华罗庚成为数学名家之后不忘提携后辈。当他收到厦门大学数学系助教陈景润《塔内问题》的论文,看到对自己《堆垒素数论》中论点的修正意见,不仅没有不悦,反而引荐陈在中国数学会会议上报告研究成果。经过华的多方努力,陈被调入中国科学院数学研究所,才有后来在哥德巴赫猜想问题上的重大成就。
两个月前,李克强听取国家杰出青年科学基金设立20周年人才培养和科研成果汇报,并同历年“杰青”代表座谈交流。他对这些当年的“杰青”今天的“大牛”们说:“你们是人才,更要懂得珍惜人才”,要求年长的科学家要提携后辈,广纳人才。
其实,科技界提携后辈的事例比比皆是,但仔细分析,境界各有不同,大抵可有三重。
一重境界是培植干将壮大队伍。要在现代科学研究中登封造顶仅靠个人之力显然是不够的,所以有一定成就的科技工作者往往要建立一支队伍,集多人之力把研究做大做深。把有才能、善合作的年轻人招募到麾下,既能共同干大事,也能实现学术传承、互补互长。团队负责人对年轻助手们边使用边培养,自然在学术圈内也多有引荐、关照。达到这一重境界并不很难,毕竟提携年轻人也是提升个人成就的需要。
